During Fredrick Lehmann's political career, he was known to have entertained three different presidents, Taft, McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt. Letters between Taft and Lehmann are part of the framed decor.
One of our most spacious guest room, with its golden maple flooring, the Presidents' Room gently wakes you in the morning with the warmth of the sun pouring in from the east. In the evening, with its western view, you are treated with a scene of the setting sun. In season, the wood burning fireplace is an optional, addtional amenity that can be requested. The expansive private en suite bathroom, origianl to the room, features original marble floors, a six foot long soaking tub and seaparate shower. |

Our newest room, currently being renovated, soon to open, the Map Room is a spacious, warm and inviting room on the third floor. Set apart from the other rooms, you'll enjoy an intimate, comfortable and private stay in a suite style guest room. Comfortably air condiditoned in the summer, the winter offers guests a gas fireplace for that romantic feel. Complimenting the guest room is its en suite, marble tiled bathroom and dressing room. The Map Room will be available for booking beginning September 6, 2023. |

Nora's Room is named after Frederick Lehmann's wife, Nora. Overlooking the side garden, with a southern exposure, Nora's Room is sun-filled all day. It was originally the master bedroom of the house and has been faithfully restored to reveal the cherry woodwork. The maple floors have been refinished to reveal their golden patina. In season, the wood burning fireplace is an optional, addtional amenity that can be requested. The private, marble tiled bath has been recreated with authentic fixtures featuring the original marble sink and the addition of a slipper tub. |

Frederick's Room is spacious and light-filled, overlooking the side garden below. It's as if it's nestled in the 129 year old tulip poplar tree outside. In our recent room naming contest, a guest suggested 'Frederick's Room', after Mr. Lehmann, to compliment 'Nora's Room' (Mrs. Lehmann), directly below it on the 2nd floor. They are identical rooms done two very different ways. Frederick's Room, with one of the house's largest bathrooms, has been updated and faithfully restored back to it's 1893 originality but with a modern feel. In season, the wood burning fireplace is an optional, addtional amenity that can be requested.

The Lehmann had three sons, Frederick Jr, Sears and the youngest, John Stark. It seemed fitting, as this was one of the boys bedrooms, as well as my sons' bedroom, to honor the third Lehmann son. This massive room sits on the third floor, above where the turret would be making it ideal for a group of four. Rates based on double occupancy, extra guests at an addtional charge.
The Douglas fir woodwork and maple floors were refinished to reveal the beautiful wood beneath the dark purple paint left by a former resident. |

Originally, this room was one of two second floor guest rooms. Now it has its own Victorian designed private en suite bath created from a former walk-in closet.
Lehmann was on the 1904 World's Fair Board of Directors. This room was named to honor that distinguished position in St. Louis' history. The Worlds' Fair Room features its own spacious private second floor deck overlooking the gardens below. |

Frederick Lehmann was mentored by Judge Epinias. Sears, putting him through college and law school. The Judge Sears' Room has a beautiful view of the Benton Place mall. It's unique in that it is our only suite, with its adjoining sun porch, climate controlled so it can be enjoyed all year long.

In keeping with the status of hired help of the time, the Maids' Room is arranged simply, with a period, heirloom 1890's bedroom suite--our only family furniture--and family portraits on the walls. The Lehmann' had both day help and live-in help, two such servants making the Maids' Room home, in the servants' wing of the house. A private bathroom, located in the hall, next to, and dedicated to, the Maids' Room, serves as its private bath.
